Overview

A&G CPAs Inc. (“A&G,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through aandgcpas.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

It applies only to our website. Information you share with us as a client is covered by your engagement letter and our professional confidentiality obligations, described below.

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to give us, plus some information collected automatically when you visit.

Information you provide

  • Contact form: your name, email, phone number, the service you are interested in, and anything you include in your message
  • Emails, calls and texts: anything you include when you contact us directly, including your phone number

Information collected automatically

When you visit, our website platform and Google Analytics may collect your IP address, browser and device type, your approximate location, the pages you view, the site that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. This happens through cookies and similar technologies.

How we use your information

  • Respond to your questions and schedule intro calls
  • Understand how visitors find and use our site so we can improve it
  • Protect our site and meet our legal and professional obligations

We won’t use your information for an unrelated purpose without telling you first.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their advertising. We share it only with:

  • Service providers that help us run our website and practice, such as our website host (WordPress.com), our email provider (Google Workspace), and our website analytics tool (Google Analytics). They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Legal and regulatory authorities when required by law, subpoena, or professional regulations, or to protect our rights.
  • A successor firm if A&G merges with or is acquired by another firm, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.

Cookies, analytics, and Do Not Track

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Our site uses them to work properly and to measure traffic. We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they read, and how they found us. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy, and you can opt out with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended.

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no common standard for responding to these signals, our site does not currently respond to them.

Links to other websites

Our site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.

Email communications

When you contact us, we use your email address to reply and to follow up about your inquiry. We do not add you to a marketing list. If we ever send marketing emails, each one will include an unsubscribe link.

Security and retention

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information you submit, and we limit access to the two partners and the service providers described above. No website or email is completely secure, so please don’t send Social Security numbers, tax returns, bank details, or other sensitive documents through our contact form or by regular email. Once you become a client, we use a secure online portal for sharing documents.

We keep website inquiries only as long as we need them to respond and follow up, or as long as the law requires.

Client information

If you become a client, the information you share with us for tax and accounting work is not governed by this website policy. It is protected by your engagement letter and by the confidentiality rules that apply to CPAs, including California Business and Professions Code section 5037, the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct, and federal rules on the use and disclosure of tax return information (Internal Revenue Code section 7216). We use and disclose client information only as those rules allow.

Your choices

  • Access, correct or delete: email us to see, correct, or delete the information you submitted through our site. We may need to keep some records where the law or professional standards require it.
  • Children: our site is not directed to anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
  • Changes to this policy: if we update it, we’ll post the new version here with a new date.

California residents

If you live in California, you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it (subject to the record-keeping rules that apply to CPAs), and ask which categories of your information we have shared with third parties for their direct marketing. We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising, and we will not treat you differently for making a request. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
